Wednesday 9th March 2016 – CAS against Rothwell Heath B is re-scheduled to 16th March 2016 HOME at Gateways LS17 9LE – 20:00 Start

New Fixture Added – Wednesday 9th March CAS against Tadcaster 86 HOME at Gateways LS17 9LE – 20:00 Start – Cup Semi Final

All other details remain the same.

Hi CGBC Members,

Please circulate this email to all your friends and family with a view to attracting new badminton players to our club. We are always looking for new members to join the club, it’s probably for those who play socially but competitively who want to take their interest up a level…

If anyone is interested, please bring them down to clubnight..

I can provide a printed flyer for office notice boards  – just let me know.

CGBC NEWS – AGM

Good afternoon All,

Just a quick blog to advise you that we will be holding AGM at Club night next Wednesday the 23rd Sept.

Club night will start at the normal time 20.00 hrs with the AGM scheduled for 21.15hrs>.

I have attached the agenda, please note: It’s important that everyone tries to attend as members will be asked to vote on the committee’s proposals for Team Selection / Team Entries. Details to be provided on the night.

Also, the proposed AGM agenda for Wednesday reads:

  • Chairman’s Introduction
  • Minutes of last year’s AGM
  • Treasurers report & proposals
  • Presentation of the accounts for 2014/15
  • Match Secretary’s report:
  • General Secretary’s report – League / Club business
  • Team Selection / Team Entries
  • A.O.B.

Last year’s minutes and balance sheets to follow in due course.

Club Summer Competition

Dear All

We are organising a Club tournament very similar to last years.

Please can I ask all entrants to  sign up at the clubnight or email me at by next Wednesday the 15th, so that we can start putting together the partnerships / handicaps. Thank you.
We will aim to complete the qualifying rounds during club sessions on 29th July, 5th August and 12th August if we can and then hold the semis and final on either the 19th or 26th August depending on availability.
We have “trophies” and prizes for finalists and runners-up!
