2016 Castleford Tournament 7th and 8th May

Please attached details of the Castleford badminton Tournament. I will be collecting entries and payment at club night. If you are cannot make club night in the next couple of weeks please email me your entries.

Club Summer Competition

Dear All

We are organising a Club tournament very similar to last years.

Please can I ask all entrants to  sign up at the clubnight or email me at by next Wednesday the 15th, so that we can start putting together the partnerships / handicaps. Thank you.
We will aim to complete the qualifying rounds during club sessions on 29th July, 5th August and 12th August if we can and then hold the semis and final on either the 19th or 26th August depending on availability.
We have “trophies” and prizes for finalists and runners-up!

The New Badminton Season

Hi All,

Hope you all have had a good summer break, for those of you who continued to play throughout the summer, thank you VERY MUCH for your support.

Just a very quick email to let you know that CGBC 2014/15 season officially commences on Wednesday the 3rd of Sept, at the normal start time of 20.00 hrs.  Hope you can make it.

We have entered the normal Leeds Mixed and Men’s teams & the Castleford Mixed team into the respective leagues for the 2014/15 seasons (with the first matches starting late September).

So any Budding Captains will again have the opportunity. There will be a list being circulated at club night for you to express your team / league preferences e.g. Leeds Mixed, Cas Mixed, Men’s etc.

Jon W has kindly revamped the website and moved it onto the Word press platform still under the WWW.CGBADMINTON.NET , Zee has been ensuring our Facebook site has plenty of activity.

Linda F & Tom F kindly organised an in-house competition, the finals are to be held Wednesday the 3rd.

So dust off your racquets, kick the mud off your trainers and we’ll see you there at club night, soon!

The Committee are pleased to announce the launch of the new website.   Please feel free to browse, leave comments and perhaps suggest ideas for new content by getting in touch through the Contact page.

If you choose to “follow” the site you will automatically be notified of new posts and updates.

We will continue to develop the site over the next few months and we hope it becomes a popular medium through which existing members and potential new members can participate and communicate in the non-playing aspects of the Club.
